This is a course of concepts, not details. Concepts are always simple, only the details are complex.

Example – The theory of natural selection. The theory states that an organism that has a variation that gives it a survival advantage, will likely pass on more of its genes to the next generation than an organism that does not have that variation. All the complex details of life on earth derive from that simple concept.

Investing the effort to learn the concepts before you attempt to tackle the details is one of the most productive activities you can perform.

This Citizen Component of the course delivers the essential concepts needed to understand the nature of democracy. This is accomplished by studying and treating the political/economic system as a single integrated system of power. You cannot separate politics and economics if you want to understand democracy; they are completely interconnected and interdependent. Taking this “integrated” approach delivers a genuine version of democracy.

The course utilizes a special tool called a “Framework Document” to deliver an understanding of the essential concepts with efficient clarity.

Definition of efficient clarity: the ability to understand a subject or situation with the minimum expenditure of time and effort.

Framework Documents—short, simple, precise, smooth, interesting and clear—are the delivery vehicles we use to achieve efficient clarity, and efficient clarity is the only route to rapidly empower citizens in a democracy.
